Customer: Downstream Oil and Gas Company
Location: New Brunswick, Canada Date of Delivery: September, 2019 Product Delivered: Intercom System |
The customer required an intrinsically safe industrial intercom system, that was made in Canada, and was an approved product adhering to the highest safety standards possible.
The second requirement was a system that would permit the operations team to communicate from an office building to two marine wharves where oil tankers dock daily for loading product. The two terminals required CSA approved Class 1/Div 2 compliant intercom devices. Additionally, the commercial grade intercoms needed to be 'plug and play', easily configurable, safe, rugged and reliable, and importantly, wireless. Ultimately, each 'remote' dock received a Class 1/Div 2 ExPA box, and ExPA loud audible horn, and IS Phone system that could be used in any and all weather conditions. These two systems tied back to a single PBX box installed at the office complex near-by, and using flat panel antennas the distances were easily closed wirelessly providing a seamless turn-key communications intercom for the site. The customer was able to install the product on their own, and have reported they are extremely pleased with its performance and very satisfied with the product. |
